Commission - German Shepherd

This is 'Blue', a German Shepherd and was drawn 20"x16". The main aspect to capture was just how fluffy he is. His fur was tricky as it consists of lots of different shades, with different coloured hairs running into other areas. The photo provided was great as it picked up very fine hairs.

Commission completed May 2014. Mechanical pencils 0.3mm, 0.5mm and 0.7mm HB and 2B. Lots of cotton wool, tortillions and several rubbers. Was drawn on A2 heavy-weight cartridge paper, with the finished drawing measuring 16"x12 for an internal mount (20"x16" frame). 11 hours over the course of a 2 weeks.
